What characterizes us
All Celeiro da Terra food products are made from local ingredients.
The unique and incomparable flavor comes from the fields and gardens of the district of Povoação.
We look for special ingredients and establish partnerships with local producers and farmers, promoting their work and encouraging a solidarity economy.
Our handicrafts are certified by the Regional Handicraft Support Center, which values the techniques used and the quality of our products.
Our mission
The Celeiro da Terra Cooperative was born with the mission of taking in people who were unemployed while producing handicraft products.
It is currently considered a private social solidarity institution whose main area of activity is making and selling liqueurs, jams, cookies and handicrafts, promoting the people, culture, tradition and products of the island of São Miguel, specifically the municipality of Povoação.

To increase our growth trajectory, increasing the number of sales, products, customers, suppliers and, above all, employees, offering everyone opportunities and products that excel.

Our objectives
Promote access to education, training and professional integration for socially disadvantaged groups.
Organize the work of artisans and other local products who individually, or in production units, transform raw materials, produce or repair goods.
To market goods or products of handicrafts and other local productive activities.
Use and allow the use, in whole or in part, of the buildings, facilities, equipment or services of or by cooperatives, in a spirit of mutual assistance and complementary means and operations.
Enter into contracts, agreements or conventions with any legal or collective persons.
Joining cooperatives, including higher-level cooperatives, and participating in associations and corporate forms, under the terms legally permitted.
